Framed by a Made-in-Japan black ceramic uni-directional rotating elapsed timing bezel with knurled edge for enhanced operability, the dial also features a date calendar and large LumiBrite markers and hands for enhanced legibility. Providing a power reserve of approximately 72 hours, the longest of any Seiko mechanical watch, the caliber 6R54 24-jewel automatic GMT movement beats at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour and offers manual winding capability. The GMT hand can be set independently in one-hour increments, without interrupting the time-of-day hands, to provide a second time zone reading at a glance. Crafted of stainless steel with durable super-hard coating, this superbly functional timepiece includes a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, screwdown crown and caseback, and tri-fold push button release clasp with secure lock and extender, and follows ISO standards for scuba diving to depths of up to 200 meters.
